(Cornish: “coast” – the meeting place of land and sea, where horizons stretch wide)

Turned from beech, this large bowl (33 x 9 cm) carries both the warmth of raw wood and the depth of ocean-inspired milk paint. The interior is left bare, revealing the golden grain of the timber, while the outer form is painted in a deep blue-green, textured with a hand-cut banding that recalls the mark of tide and tool alike.

The contrast between the honeyed heartwood and the bold, painted rim makes this piece as functional as it is striking, equally at home serving at the table or resting as a centrepiece.

Made from locally sourced beech, finished with milk paint and natural oils, the Arvor Bowl balances tradition with a contemporary coastal spirit.
