Bosahan Butter Dish

17cm x 8cm (plus handle)
A three-part butter dish made with care and designed for daily use. The base is turned from beech; the lid from green sycamore, allowed to dry naturally to create a gentle wave in the form; and the handle is carved from beech, then secured with an oak wedge.
The lid is hand-carved with a pattern that echoes the shape of flower petals — subtle, textured, and inviting to touch. Painted in deep coastal turquoise, then sealed with food-safe oil and Cornish beeswax.
Named after Bosahan, a wooded valley near the Helford River, this piece carries a balance of softness and strength — practical, tactile, and quietly distinctive.
Each dish is shaped and assembled by hand. No two are the same.
