Lughvos Leaf – Copperleaf Pendant Shade
£175.00 Coming soon

15cm x 15cm
A sculptural pendant shade turned from green beech, allowed to dry slowly so the form settles into a soft, organic wave. Each one is shaped by hand and by time, with subtle movement in the rim that reflects the natural rhythm of the wood.
At the crown, a hand-beaten copper cap is fixed in place with copper boat nails - a quiet detail borrowed from traditional boatbuilding. Below, instead of a solid wrap, a band of copper leaf encircles the base - fine, delicate, and hand-applied. As the light moves, the leaf glints like sunlight on water or the shine of wet stone. Over time, it will age gently, deepening in character.
The wood is finished with milk paint in coastal tones, then sealed with food-safe oil and Cornish beeswax to bring out the grain and protect the surface.
The name Lughvos blends the Cornish words for light and shelter, a fitting title for a piece that cradles and casts light with quiet strength.
Each pendant is a one-off, part sculpture, part utility, rich with texture and atmosphere.
