Pentire Bowl - Natural Spalted Beech

This Pentire Bowl is turned from spalted beech, where the natural lines and patterns formed in the wood create a distinctive surface across the whole piece. Each bowl has its own markings, shaped by the way the tree grew and changed over time, giving every one a unique character.

The form is sized for everyday use, with a nineteen centimetre diameter and a depth of seven centimetres that suits breakfast, soups or smaller shared dishes. The surface is finished with food grade hemp oil, which brings out the colour and pattern of the beech while keeping the bowl suitable for regular meals.

The Pentire design keeps to a simple, comfortable shape that sits well in the hands and on the table. In this natural version, the warm tones and shifting lines of the spalted wood become the focus of the piece.
