Pentire Reska Breakfast Bowl

A hand-turned breakfast bowl made from Cornish beech, finished in a coastal turquoise milk paint and sealed with food-safe oils.

Turned while the wood was still green, the bowl is left to dry naturally, allowing a gentle, organic wave to form in the rim. In some, small cracks appear during this process — a natural part of working with living material.

Rather than discard them, these bowls have been carefully repaired using copper wire — a quiet nod to Cornwall’s mineral-rich history, where copper has long run through both land and labour.

The name Reska means “repair” in Cornish — a reminder that imperfection can carry its own kind of beauty. The copper adds strength and presence, catching the light and telling its own story of care, continuity, and considered mending.

Each Pentire Reska bowl is entirely unique — in grain, in form, and in the character of its repair. Fully food-safe and made for everyday use.
