Porthleven Plate - Teal

This version of the Porthleven Plate is finished in Cornish Woodsmith blue, a colour that sits between sea depth and shoreline light. The milk paint settles evenly over the beech, with a fine line of natural grain left around the rim to frame the shape. The paint is non toxic and hard wearing, suited to regular meals and easy table use.

A coat of food grade hemp oil brings the surface to a gentle sheen and adds to the smooth feel in the hand. At twenty five centimetres across, the plate has a low rise at the sides which makes it practical for serving or everyday eating. The combination of warm beech inside and the cool blue exterior gives the piece a simple coastal character.
