Porthleven Plate - Two tone Teal

This beech plate is finished in a two tone blue, with the colours meeting in a soft transition around the outer edge. The milk paint brings a coastal feel to the form, one shade sitting deeper and the other lifting slightly toward the rim. Both are non toxic and hard wearing, suited to regular use at the table.

The inside is left in natural beech, finished with food grade hemp oil to give a smooth surface and a gentle sheen. At twenty five centimetres across, the plate has a shallow rise at the sides that makes it practical for serving or everyday eating. The contrast between the warm wood and the layered blue gives the piece a simple but distinctive look.
